About the Hackathon
The New Mexico State Environment Department (ENV) is hosting this hackathon to promote awareness of, and interest in, our new Open Data Portal (ODP), which for the first time makes select Agency data available in the form of APIs.
Our hope is that the ODP will have usefulness to ENV’s Regulated Community, its regulation partners, and to the public who have an interest in or use the data that ENV is able to surface.
The APIs available consist of selected air, water and waste-oriented information from the programs and work units for which ENV has so far been able to surface data.
The availability of this data marks a milestone for ENV, and for the New Mexico State Government, as a first-of-its-kind New Mexico State API portal where registered users can access Agency data.
